Challenge: A novel but undeveloped medical device needed to move from prototype to market.
Action: Joined as CEO post-investment to build the team, established a UK-based manufacturing facility, secure regulatory approvals, and develop the supply chain.
Result: Achieved commercial traction across multiple NHS Trusts and 8 international distributors, turning an early-stage concept into a viable, revenue-generating business

FMCG

Private Equity MBO, Turnaround and  Growth

Challenge: A failing FMCG business was acquired via pre-pack administration with PE backing.
Action: Led the MBO, rebuilt the team, restructured SKUs, reorganised and improved working capital, restored supplier confidence, and focused on high-value partnerships.
Result: Increased revenue from £12m to £22m in 24 months and secured a favourable exit for investors.

Scaling with Strategic Governance

Challenge: Revenue had hit a ceiling of £8m pa, and the founder wanted a sustainable path to triple revenue while improving operations and leadership.
Action: Developed a five-year growth plan, mentored directors, developed a structure for delivering change then  implemented reporting systems, and embedded strategic governance.
Result: Positioned the business for scale, targeting £25m revenue through a clear, actionable roadmap.

Cleaning and Managed Services

Enabling Leadership Transition for a Family Business

Challenge: A long-standing business owner sought to step back from daily operations but lacked a succession plan and strategy.
Action: Co-created a strategic plan, appointed new board members, engaged the leadership team, and facilitated the owner’s transition by stepping in as Chairman.
Result: Enabled the owner to semi-retire and return on his terms, with a sustainable structure in place for long-term stability.

Medical Devices

Established a Direct UK Market Presence

Challenge: An international manufacturer was experiencing poor performance from their chosen distributor model which led to a decision to go direct to customers in the UK. 
Action: Engage with the business HQ team to understand the structure of the relationship between HO and the new entity. Built a UK team, established a base, secured regulatory approvals, and developed logistics, distribution and engineering support.
Result: Hit £1m revenue target in 18 months, laying the foundation for sustained 50% year-on-year growth.

Personal Care Brand

Interim Managing Director - Operational Reset for a Growing Cosmetics Brand

Challenge: The business was struggling with poor stock turnover, low customer service levels, and an inexperienced team unable to support growth.
Action: Led a 4-month consultancy project to overhaul forecasting systems, improve stock management, and mentor the team. Developed a clear operational strategy and improved cross-functional coordination.
Result: Dramatically improved stock efficiency and service levels, empowered a more capable and confident team, and laid the foundation for sustainable growth through better operational discipline.

Online Electronics Retailer

Returning an Underperforming Business to Profit

Challenge: An electronics e-commerce business was facing profitability issues, a disengaged team, and erratic forecasting.
Action: Conducted a full strategic and operational review, restructured the senior team, improved forecasting, and mentored the MD on leadership and people skills. Brought focus on to niche value-added products that provided highest margins. 
Result: High-margin item sales quadrupled, team performance improved, and the business recorded its most profitable year in five years.
